Lost Time Claims Adjuster

Excellent opportunity with an agile company located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. We are a growing competitor in the Workers’ Compensation industry and are in search of a Lost Time Claims Adjuster who will be responsible for workers’ compensation claims file management, litigation coordination, and providing customer service to our insureds, claimants, and attorneys.

Job Summary

  • Adjust claims according to state specific statutes and regulations
  • Communicate appropriate information to all stakeholders
  • Manage all litigation and settlements on assigned claims
  • Manage customer and agent relationships
  • Manage reporting to all insurance/reinsurance partners
  • Ensure and maintain appropriate licenses or certifications for all states in which claims are being handled.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • North Carolina Adjuster’s License
  • 2+ years experience in claims management
  • Ability to effectively operate a computer with knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Ability to make prompt, intelligent decisions based upon detailed analysis of complex issues
  • Ability to manage and operate independently and effectively
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to service for both external and internal customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive approach
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Solid adjustment and negotiation skill set, coupled with a thorough knowledge of Product Standards and state laws and regulations

Bill Review Supervisor

Excellent opportunity with an agile company located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. We are a growing competitor in the Workers’ Compensation industry and are in search of a Bill Review Supervisor who will be responsible for the daily oversight of Bill Review employees. The BIll Review Supervisor will develop the Bill Review Processors, Specialists, and Scanners through regular feedback and coaching. It is also the responsibility of the Bill Review Supervisor to make improvements to the systems that manage workflow.

Job Summary

  • Supervise, coordinate and monitor the daily activities of the Bill Review staff
  • Identify negotiating opportunities and perform negotiations on behalf of the company
  • Perform bill review tasks in tandem with the Bill Review Specialists including but not limited to reviewing medical bills, initiating feeds and handling stop queues
  • Evaluate medical bill review process and recommend improvements
  • Assist Bill Review Manager/Business Analyst in the implementation of new Bill Review processes and procedures
  • Monitor the Bill Review department’s production goals
  • Work with Business Analyst/Bill Review Manager to hire staff and review staff performance with a thorough understanding of medical bill payer policies and laws
  • Audit and provide feedback to improve Bill Review department workflow
  • Knowledge and ability to comply with state regulatory requirements relating to medical bill payments
  • Responsible for maximizing medical bill savings through creating and implementing bill analysis guidelines
  • Collaboration with the Claims staff on medical procedures and medications
  • Stay abreast and in compliance with state regulatory requirements
  • Ensure medical bills are paid on a timely basis
  • Utilize Reports within the Bill Review Software System to help with process improvements or training
  • Recognize any new rules that need to be implemented within the Bill Review Software System and relay to Help Desk for input of rules
