Lost Time Claims Adjuster

Excellent opportunity with an agile company located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. We are a growing competitor in the Workers’ Compensation industry and are in search of a Lost Time Claims Adjuster who will be responsible for workers’ compensation claims file management, litigation coordination, and providing customer service to our insureds, claimants, and attorneys.

Job Summary

  • Adjust claims according to state specific statutes and regulations
  • Communicate appropriate information to all stakeholders
  • Manage all litigation and settlements on assigned claims
  • Manage customer and agent relationships
  • Manage reporting to all insurance/reinsurance partners
  • Ensure and maintain appropriate licenses or certifications for all states in which claims are being handled.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • North Carolina Adjuster’s License
  • 2+ years experience in claims management
  • Ability to effectively operate a computer with knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Ability to make prompt, intelligent decisions based upon detailed analysis of complex issues
  • Ability to manage and operate independently and effectively
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to service for both external and internal customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive approach
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Solid adjustment and negotiation skill set, coupled with a thorough knowledge of Product Standards and state laws and regulations
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
