Lost Time Claims Adjuster

Excellent opportunity with an agile company located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. We are a growing competitor in the Workers’ Compensation industry and are in search of a Lost Time Claims Adjuster who will be responsible for workers’ compensation claims file management, litigation coordination, and providing customer service to our insureds, claimants, and attorneys.

Job Summary

  • Adjust claims according to state specific statutes and regulations
  • Communicate appropriate information to all stakeholders
  • Manage all litigation and settlements on assigned claims
  • Manage customer and agent relationships
  • Manage reporting to all insurance/reinsurance partners
  • Ensure and maintain appropriate licenses or certifications for all states in which claims are being handled.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • North Carolina Adjuster’s License
  • 2+ years experience in claims management
  • Ability to effectively operate a computer with knowledge of MS Office applications

Compliance and Implementation Specialist

Excellent opportunity with an agile company located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. We are a growing competitor in the Workers’ Compensation industry and are in search of a Compliance and Implementation Specialist to ensure compliance with workers’ compensation regulations, analyze the impact of legislative changes, and work collaboratively with the Business Analyst on special projects and streamlining workflows.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate our current systems, rules, and procedures to identify opportunities for streamlining workflow
  • Develop innovative solutions to solve problems. This will involve (but not be limited to) developing Robotic Process Automation and comprehensive utilization of the Office 365 platform
  • Monitor NCCI/Rate Bureau circulars and bulletins, with primary responsibility to track and identify changes, business impact and concisely communicate and review with manager to determine the course of action
  • Review current processes to identify regulatory and contractual non-compliance issues and assist in developing the necessary workflows to correct
  • Manage regulatory data reporting (policy and unit data collection) and identify/remedy common errors, implementing a plan to proactively address errors and streamline the process
  • Manage policy system configuration for rating elements and maintain a System Record of Change
  • Develop policy system workflow documentation and train staff on system workflow and enhancements
  • Develop documents in Scriptura to streamline the policy issuance process and remain compliant with requirements
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned

Job Requirements

Scheduled/Expected Hours of Work

  • The Compliance and Implementation Specialist will be expected to work full time. This schedule will include a minimum of a 7.5 hour day Monday-Friday to fall between the hours of 7am and 6pm.
